Best Restaurants for Hen Parties in Birmingham

Birmingham is a massive city, and with its multi-cultured heritage it offers you ladies some great chioces for places to eat. The choices are endless, in fact there are too many for us to mention. So what we have done is to choose some of what we think are the best restaurants for a large party of hens.

We have made these recommendations based on things like price, variety, location, special offers, and how good they are at accommodating a large group of hyped up ladies on a hen weekend.

Not only is the Bullring a shopper’s paradise during the day for your hen party, it has a number of high quality restaurants that offer a bit of grub from all corners of the world. Take a pit stop for lunch while you are shopping at one of these recommended places.

An authentic Tai look inside and out, Chaophraya offers Tai food all cooked in an open kitchen.

Located on Spiceal Street and uses all free range ingredients. Choose from a staggering array of 40 handmade burgers and let's face it, most people love a good burger. Don’t worry if there are any vegetarians in your hen party, there are great veggie burger options too.

Since opening their first restaurant in Oxford back in 2008 it’s the chain that has become a cult sensation. Birmingham’s own version has a modern industrial look and offers some great antipasti and sharing platters. It is based right next to the Bullring on Spiceal Street.

Nando’s is well known for its fresh chicken with various degrees of spiciness and heat, Nandos always goes down well with everybody and is incredibly popular. It can get busy though ladies so you might struggle to get a table particularly if there is a large group of you.

Pizza Express

Pizza Express has become a household name and it's perfect for large groups as you can all share and tuck into a good selection of different pizzas or pastas.

More than just a noddle bar Wagamama is perfect for large groups thanks to the seating arrangements (it can accommodate up to 16 people at one table) and all food has an Asian feel. If some of the girls are particularly feeling rough after a hen night out make sure to try something from their juice selection.

Brindley is home to numerous bars and restaurants that provide scrumptious food by day and thirst quenching cocktails by night. definitely worth a visit during the day or night time for a meal and pre drinks. Some well know favourites include Pizza Express and The Slug and Lettuce. It’s also right on next to the Barclaycard Arena so stop off after a concert to get some pre drinks before hitting the clubs.

The full range of places to eat can be found here

If the hen's fancy going oriental then head out to China Town located just 5 minutes away from New Street and Grand Central. Admire the Chinese themed architecture and statues as you tuck into some authentic cuisine in one of these little gems.

Chun Ying

This is Birmingham’s longest running Cantonese Restaurant. Chun Ying has the most extensive Cantonese menu for lunchtimes so it’s great for a quick pit shop while exploring the city during the day.

Ken Ho

Right next door to the Hippodrome is Ken Ho perfect place to go before or after catching a show with the hen's.

If you are struggling to choose which Chinese restaurant to eat in, here are 7 of the best according to the Birmingham Mail.

China Town Birmingham

If you fancy some upmarket food before a big night head out to the Mailbox. There is over 16 places to eat, including well know restaurants like Nando’s and Pizza Express. Our Favorite is Miller and Carter Steak House, you will find it hard to beat their grilled steak and chicken.

Turtle Bay

Excellent Caribbean restaurant, Great location just 5 mins from New Street Station and best of all ladies, it has 2 for 1 on cocktails during happy hour 12:00 to 19:00 and again from 22:00 to close.  Turtle Bay is a great place to plan to visit on any hen do. For groups larger than 7 you will need to book call 0121 643 1303 or email
